The ACBS worldcon brings researchers and therapists worldwide together to learn about cutting-edge developments in third-wave cognitive and behaviour therapies. Every year, hundreds of people apply to deliver workshops, and only approximately 7% get accepted. We are proud of our team, Katarina Guillen, Olivia Faulconbridge, and Eli Cwinn, for being accepted to deliver a workshop titled “Compassion Focused Therapy for Caregivers of young people with mental health difficulties: Introduction to essential skills and activities."

New 10-week virtual program for newcomer youth introduced by STRONG
A 10-week virtual program for newcomer youth in grades 9-12 has been created to help increase their resilience and help them develop skills and strategies to ease their transition in their new surroundings.  The program is facilitated by psychology graduate students under the supervision of Dr. Maisha Syeda, Psychologist in supervised practice, and Dr. Colin King.
