The Centre for School Mental Health Team recognized World Mental Health Day by inviting Faculty of Education - Western University Staff and Faculty to a Mindfulness Session. With the global theme of Mental Health in the Workplace, Dr. Claire Crooks led participants through a chime breathing session taken from the MindUP™ curriculum for children and youth. Through the MindUP™ curriculum, students participate daily in mindful deep breathing or "brain breaks" in order to slowly learn how to focus their attention. The goal of this short session was to inform participants on how they too could give themselves a mindful break.
